Markering av den Internasjonale dagen for anstendig arbeid
YS (Confederation of Vocational Unions) Norway is conducting several different activities in order to promote the World Day for Decent Work, 7th of October.
Some of the activities to be mentioned are:
YS President Tore Eugen Kvalheim and Unio President Anders Folkestad are in a joint article in the daily newspaper Dagsavisen critical to negotiations on trade agreements with countries with little or no respect for fundamental labour rights. The two organisations want more focus on labour rights in Norwegian trade policy and see this in relation to the Norwegian governments’ otherwise very good strategy for Decent Work, which was launched in 2008.
