Federation of Chemical Workers of Hungary (www.vdsz.hu) along with IUF (www.iuf.org) will have a Flashmob tea party at the regional Unilever Headquarter in Budapest. The flashmob action aims to protest against the outsourced labour conditions and practice at the Khanewal Lipton factory in Pakistan. The flashmob is a part of the country wide protest about outsourcing and labour hiring on the Decent Work Day initiated by ITUC (www.ituc-csi.org)along with the Hungarian Steel Trade Union (www.vasasszakszervezet.hu) and MSZOSZ (www.mszosz.hu). The action is part of the year long global campaign of IUF on the Khanewal issue (www.casualtea.org).
The participants are required to take a jar and a tea-bag with, water will be served at the spot. After the tea is ready we will clink our jars (glasses) upon the Khanewal Mazdoor Trade Union members and their fight. The used tea bags will be collected as symbol of Unilever’s "use and throw away" practice, the tea bags collected will be handed over to the Headquarter.
The action will take place from 1800-1805 EET.
